Bitcoin Rules

If you are new to bitcoin then follow these basic rules to protect yourself. These rules may seem basic, but it is hard to understate how important they all are. Apply these rules in all settings and at all times, including meetups.

1. Never tell anyone how much bitcoin you own.
2. Learn how to be your own bank.
3. Move your bitcoin off of exchanges and onto your own wallets (bank).
4. Hold onto your bitcoin, as much as possible.
5. Use Peer-to-Peer (P2P) options instead of exchanges, as much as possible.
